Sunglass Garage Warranty Info:

All of the premium sunglasses at the Sunglass Garage come with a full manufacturer’s warranty. Some of our brands even have a Lifetime Warranty - nice right!!? These warranties are limited to defects in manufacturing only. And lets be honest, defects do not happen very much in premium products... but just in case - keep on reading... 

Each one of our vendors takes pride in quality craftsmanship. If you encounter what you feel to be a manufacturer’s defect, please contact the vendor directly. You may be asking yourself "why would I do that?" Our vendors have asked that any defective merchandise be sent to their facility so they can inspect the frame directly. They have everything necessary to fix any problem and can turn around your request up to 5 times faster. But, of course in typical Sunglass Garage fashion, we want to make sure you are completely happy... so if you really want to send the product back to us instead, we promise to take care of it for you. If you decide to send them back to us, please follow our returns instructions: Please allow 6-8 weeks. 

A Couple of Notes: The manufacturers do not cover silly things liked scratched lenses! So please take care of your investment. Sunglass Garage nor the manufacturers can cover damages caused by you, the consumer. So if you step on your sunglasses, sit on them, run over them with your car, or drop them from the ski lift, unfortunately, that's on you man.

Smith Optics Repair/Replacement Policy: For a fee Smith Optics (at their discretion) will repair or replace lenses, frames and other parts as needed and available. Smith encourages you to send your product by a traceable method (such as Fed Ex or UPS), as Smith Optics is not responsible for lost or misdirected packages. Your sunglasses will be returned using ground UPS service. Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. For non-delivery or further information, email Smith directly at warranty@smithoptics.com. They will do their best to reply within one to two business days (provided contact information has been included with your product).

Scope and Duration of the Warranty: This warranty program lasts for the lifetime of your Smith product. This warranty program covers all parts of your Smith product and applies to all types of manufacturing defects or failure. The warranty program does not cover product that is lost, stolen, dropped, shattered, sat on, chewed by your pet or any other damage that is caused by the consumer.

RX/Prescription Lenses: The warranty does NOT cover prescription lenses. Smith Optics offers a 1 year warranty from the date purchased on sunglass frames used in conjunction with our “certified installation” of prescription lenses by SOLA Technologies. 

Limitation on Damages: For breach of any written or implied warranty on this product, the consumer is limited to damages of repair of the product or replacement with an identical or equivalent style, at the election of Smith Optics. Smith Optics is NOT liable for any other damages, such as special, incidental, or consequential damages, resulting from the use of this product. Note: some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from State to State. This warranty extends to residents of the United States only.



Electric Visual - Product Warranty

Electric products are fully warranted with proof-of-purchase against defect in material and workmanship from one year from date of purchase. If Electric products are proven defective, they will replace them at no cost to you. If Electric products are not considered defective, (scratched sunglasses and goggle lenses are not covered under the warranty) Electric will replace your product at a reasonable charge. Please ship your Electric products to the address below using UPS, FedEx, or insured US Mail in a box with adequate packaging to protect the product against damage during shipping. Spy Optics
- Product Warranty and Repair

Spy sunglasses are handcrafted from the finest materials modern technologies can provide. They test and refine everything they make to ensure you receive a quality product with reliable performance. Spy provides a limited warranty on manufacturer's defects for one year from the the date of purchase. Please visit www.spyoptic.com to register your product and validate your warranty. Keep your receipt for proof-of-purchase.

Spy Optics will replace any current style which is deemed to possess a manufacturer’s defect. Scratched lenses as a result of normal use are not covered by this warranty. Spy does, however, offer a replacement service for items not covered under warranty.

For warranty or replacement service, please follow these easy steps:
1. Call Spy at either 1-800-779-3937 or 760-804-8420 to first acquire a return authorization number (R.A.#) and an address to send your product.

2. Spy's customer service will supply you with instructions for the nearest Spy warranty center to send your eyewear.

3. Your R.A.# expires after 30 days from the date it was given to you by customer service, so please be sure to send your defective glasses in as soon as possible.

4. Send your Spy sunglasses with the following information inside the package:
  • A copy of your receipt dated within one year from an authorized Spy dealer. (Yes, indeed, Sunglass Garage is an authorized Spy dealer!)
  • If you do not have your receipt we can replace your frame for a nominal processing fee.
  • Write the R.A.# on the outside of the package. Packages received by Spy with no R.A.# visible will be refused and returned to sender. Spy strongly recommends that you send your package via a carrier providing with a shipping number (UPS or FED-EX) as they are only responsible for what they receive.

*Please package the glasses in a box with adequate padding material to protect against movement and impact during shipping. Damages incurred due to improper packing or shipping mishaps are not under obligation to be fixed by Spy Optic.


Lenses: Spy Optic does not recommend changing sunglass lenses. Scratched lenses as a result of normal use are not covered under warranty. Spy does, however, offer a replacement service for items not covered under warranty. If you have scratched lenses in your Spy frames, the entire sunglass (of equal or lesser value) can be replaced at a discounted rate. Please call 1-800-779-3937 or 760-804-8420 and ask for the warranty department to find out about your options. No returns or exchanges are available on replacement products. All orders are final.



Anarchy Eyewear - Limited Warranty

The Anarchy Eyewear (owned by Quantum Optics) limited warranty covers breakage due to manufacturers’ defects up to one year from the date of purchase. Limited warranty is only valid with proof of purchase from an Authorized Anarchy Dealer (Yes indeed, Sunglass Garage is an authorized dealer of Anarchy Eyewear!). The limited warranty will be void if the return does not include receipt as proof of purchase and date. Anarchy limited warranty program does not cover scratched lenses, lost screws, accidental damage or damage due to improper care. Any alterations of Anarchy products will void warranty. They reserve the right to make final decision on whether the damage is due to a manufacturer’s defect or not.

The Gargoyles Performance Eyewear (owned by Quantum Optics) sunglasses are built to last. But if anything ever does go wrong with your sunglasses, Gargoyles will do what it takes to make it right. With Gargoyles Performance Eyewear "Do the Right Thing" Warranty, they make it simple for you to resolve any issues with damaged or unusable sunglasses, whether the issue is due to manufacturer's defect, or even user error!

(A) Two Year Limited Warranty Against Manufacturer's Defects:  If you have a problem with your Gargoyles sunglasses that is due to breakage from a manufacturer's defect, Gargoyles will replace them free of charge! You must return it within two years of the original date of purchase. Please send a copy of your original dated receipt as proof of purchase together with the defective sunglasses and your contact info (name, address, phone and email). Please note that manufacturer's defects are rare, but they do happen. Determining whether the issue is due to manufacturer's defect lies within the sole discretion of Gargoyles Performance Eyewear. Any alteration of the product will void this warranty.

Note: The following are not covered by the Two Year Warranty:  Scratches lenses, lost screws, improper use, accidental breakage, prescription lenses, normal wear and tear, accidental damage like dropping them, your dog chewing on them, or running over them with your mountain bike. These scenarios are not covered under this part of the warranty (full replacement), but read on... Gargoyles wants to "Do the Right Thing".

(B) User Error, Accidents, Etc. - Gargoyles can still help if the problem is NOT a manufacturer's defect! Gargoyles strives to "Do the Right Thing" for everyone who purchases their products. If you drop your Gargoyles sunglasses while running a marathon, or run over them in the driveway as you set out on a much needed vacation, or anything similar... Gargoyles can still help you!

Send your Gargoyles Performance Eyewear, along with a copy of the original dated receipt and your contact info (name, address, phone and email), and Gargoyles will contact you to offer you 50% off your next pair of Gargoyles sunglasses. It's the Right Thing To Do! If the style you are replacing has been discontinued or is unavailable, Gargoyles will help you find a new style that is similar in style and function to your old pair.

Products proven to be defective will be replaced by Filtrate at no additional cost. Kaenon Polarized  -  One Year Warranty & Lifetime SR-91 Lens Warranty

One Year Warranty
Our Domestic Warranty Policy is as follows: All Kaenon Polarized eyewear are warranted against breakage caused by defects in materials or manufacturing, at Kaenon's discretion, for one year from date of purchase. Warranty is void without valid proof of purchase from an authorized Kaenon Polarized dealer. (Yes, Sunglass Garage is an authorized dealer!) Warranty excludes product altered after purchase, damage caused by normal wear and tear including scratched lenses, and damage caused by any improper or unreasonable use.

Lifetime SR-91® Lens Warranty
Kaenon Polarized offers a lifetime warranty specifically covering cracking or splitting of the lens at drill-mounts, or delamination of the inner polarizing film and the lens material. This lifetime warranty specifically excludes product altered after purchase, damage caused by normal wear and tear including scratched lenses or scratched lens coatings, and damage caused by any improper or unreasonable use.

Dragon's Warranty Policy is as follows: Dragon Sunglasses are warranted against all manufacturer's defects for two years. Dragon does not warranty lenses against scratching. Warranty is valid only if purchased through an authorized Dragon Dealer. (Yes, Sunglass Garage is an authorized Dragon Dealer!)

All Dragon Products are in accordance with the ECC directive 89/686, for the I.P.D. of category I corresponding to the European Community directive.

To make a warranty claim:

1. Draft a note concerning your claim. Include your name, return shipping address, phone number and/or email address. Attach receipt or proof of purchase.

2. Securely pack your Dragon Alliance eyewear in a cardboard box (Dragon does not recommend using an envelope!). Dragon Alliance is not responsible for any loss or damage in transit, therefore we recommend that you use a shipper that will allow you to track and insure your eyewear.

Lifetime Ownership Warranty of your Vestal WATCH
If you believe that one of our Vestal watches functions improperly, simply email the Vestal Warranty Department at warranty@vestalwatch.com. If Vestal finds that the product didn't live up to its standards, they'll repair it or exchange it free of charge. Please understand that they may charge a reasonable fee if the damage to your watch was caused by unreasonable usage. It is important that you read the user manual for each product before use.

Vestal SUNGLASS Warranty
If you believe that one of our Vestal Sunglasses is defective, simply email the Vestal Warranty Department at warranty@vestalwatch.com. If we find that the product didn't live up to its standards, we'll repair it or exchange it free of charge. Please understand that Vestal may charge a reasonable fee if the damage to your eyewear was caused by unreasonable usage such as scratched lenses. Your Vestal eyewear warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Damage resulting from normal wear and tear (including scratched lenses or frames), improper use (not tightening screws on metal wire frames), or accidents (sitting on your glasses) is not covered.

Under Armour Performance Eyewear - Limited Lifetime Warranty

Under Armour Performance Eyewear is warranted to the original registered purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the eyewear. In the event there is a covered defect, we will replace or repair our product at our discretion. This warranty does not apply to glasses that have been subject to improper or unreasonable use, normal wear and tear, and accidental breakage or scratched lenses.

Please make sure to fill out and return the Product Registration Card that came with your Under Armour Performance Eyewear to activate your Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Sol Republic Headphones - Limited Warranty

SOL REPUBLIC will repair or replace, at their discretion, the product at no charge for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Determining whether a product is repaired or replaced is at the discretion of SOL REPUBLIC. Products must be purchased from a SOL REPUBLIC authorized dealer. Yes indeed, Sunglass Garage is an authorized Sol Republic dealer!! A proof of purchase may be in the form of a receipt or bill of sale, with the model of the product and the date of purchase stated.

This Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, acts of God, misuse, accidents, commercial use, and modification to the product, improper connection, improper use or attempted repair by unauthorized distributors renders this warranty null and void. This warranty does not cover products purchased open box, sold as-is, by private party resale or any other third party purchases from unauthorized distributors. Transfer of SOL REPUBLIC products through unauthorized distributors renders this warranty null and void. This warranty is also null and void if the product is damaged by a connecting product that may have caused damage through misuse or malfunction or if the factory model name or serial number has been altered.



SOL REPUBLIC Product Guarantees:

  • 1,000 Day Tracks Sound Track Headband Guarantee: If you purchase a SOL REPUBLIC Tracks, Tracks HD, Master Tracks or other headband related products, you will get a free replacement headband if the original breaks within 1,000 days from the purchase date. Simply register your headphones at solrepublic.com and complete the form provided. Be sure to mention the 1,000 day headband warranty.
  • Ear Tips For Life: If you purchase SOL REPUBLIC Amps, Amps HD, or Jax in-ear headphones you will receive a lifetime of free ear tip replacements. Register your headphones at solrepublic.com to be eligible for this program. When you need a new set of ear tips, simply fill out this form and we’ll send you ear tips anytime you ask.
